Market Data Manager

About the role

An experienced Market Data Manager is needed to join a leading proprietary trading firm. Working closely with the Head of Market Data, you will drive the firm’s market data strategy, improve operational efficiency and embed AI‑powered automation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the operational delivery of the market data strategy across global business lines.
• Lead AI and automation projects to enhance reporting, entitlement management and vendor analytics.
• Design and develop lightweight Python tools to automate workflows and reconciliation processes.
• Manage day‑to‑day market data operations, including licensing, reporting, exchange audits and entitlement management.
• Support commercial negotiations, vendor renewals and RFP processes with exchanges and data providers.
• Produce usage analysis, ROI reporting and cost‑optimisation recommendations.
• Maintain the central market data inventory and data catalogue.
• Coordinate onboarding of new market data services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in market data operations within a financial services or trading environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work with senior stakeholders across Trading, Technology, Legal, Compliance and Finance.
• Hands‑on mindset with a passion for technology, automation and AI.

• Python (lightweight development for automation)
• AI / machine‑learning concepts applied to data processes
• Automation tools and scripting
