Market Research Interviewer – Part‑time

About the role

You will travel around the local community to conduct face‑to‑face research interviews in people’s homes. Using a tablet or laptop, you will capture real‑world experiences on topics such as health, housing and transport, helping to shape public policy and services.

Key responsibilities

• Visit households in the designated area to carry out structured research interviews.
• Explain the study purpose, obtain consent and record respondents’ answers accurately.
• Adhere to safety, data‑protection and DBS‑check requirements.
• Report completed interviews and any issues to the project coordinator promptly.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car with Class 1 business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo background checks.
• Reliable home broadband and a laptop or tablet with a camera.
• Minimum 18 hours of availability per week with flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Required skills

• Comfortable using basic technology (tablet or laptop) to record interview data.

What we offer

• £20‑£30 per interview, plus admin fees, holiday pay and travel reimbursements.
• Travel time paid at £4.68 per hour and mileage at 36p per mile (up to 10 000 miles).
• Performance bonuses of £250 after launch and at two‑month intervals.
• Average hourly rate around £15.12, with higher rates for experienced interviewers.
