Marketplace Optimisation Lead

About the role

As our next Marketplace Optimisation Lead, you'll play a key role in helping us build the UK's go‑to home improvement marketplace. You will oversee metric integrity, act as a quality gate for AI‑generated analysis, and translate insights into commercial action while working closely with the C‑suite.

Key responsibilities

• Owning metric integrity — defining and governing what our numbers actually mean.
• Acting as the quality gate on AI‑generated analysis — checking logic, validating output, and catching errors before they reach stakeholders.
• Designing and interpreting A/B tests — setting success metrics, sizing samples properly, and recognising underpowered results.
• Diagnosing drivers of commercial performance — analysing revenue movement, funnel drop‑offs, and segment underperformance, then structuring investigations.
• Turning analysis into action — sizing commercial impact, outlining trade‑offs, guiding decisions and tracking outcomes.
• Building interactive dashboards and self‑serve tools that keep stakeholders oriented without constant analyst involvement.

Required profile

• A track record across analysis, diagnosis and action that has changed business outcomes.
• Fluency with SQL, Python and core data concepts to sense‑check AI‑generated work.
• Experience designing experiments and converting statistical findings into robust commercial recommendations.
• Ability to explain complex findings to non‑technical audiences; marketplace or lead‑generation experience is a plus.
