Mass Participation Executive

About the role

The Talent Set is partnering with a charitable client to recruit a Mass Participation Executive. You will lead the design, delivery and promotion of virtual fundraising challenges, driving income and supporter engagement for the organisation’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of virtual challenges, from planning and organisation to execution and post‑event evaluation.
• Develop and implement digital‑focused marketing plans to maximise participant numbers and revenue.
• Coordinate creation of marketing content, working with internal teams and external suppliers to produce accurate promotional materials.
• Analyse performance data, produce comprehensive reports and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Build collaborative relationships across fundraising, marketing and data teams, and negotiate with external partners to secure value.
• Oversee supporter stewardship programmes to enhance loyalty and increase gifts.
• Recruit, train and moderate volunteer “Facebook Champions” who assist with participant engagement.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, fundraising codes of practice and other relevant regulations.
• Monitor sector trends and recommend ways to expand and diversify the virtual events portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fundraising, supporter engagement or event management, preferably within the charity sector.
• Strong project‑management capability, delivering multiple initiatives on time and within budget.
• Solid understanding of digital marketing channels and supporter engagement techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, able to produce compelling content and maintain positive relationships.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess campaign performance and implement improvements.
• Organised, proactive and focused on delivering high‑quality supporter experiences.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work collaboratively across teams.
• Commitment to inclusivity, diversity and the charity’s mission.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per year
• Hybrid working arrangement based in Central London
• Permanent contract
