Material Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Material Support Specialist to join our busy aviation maintenance and logistics team at Brize Norton. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that critical aircraft materials are available to keep maintenance programmes running smoothly and minimise operational downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor material demands for both planned and unplanned aircraft maintenance activities.
• Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery by providing timely material assistance and participating in operational conference calls.
• Escalate high‑priority shortages such as AOG, Work Stop, and other critical material issues.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify procurement requirements.
• Proactively chase overdue deliveries, resolve documentation errors, and address supply chain disruptions.
• Monitor requisitions to ensure accurate and efficient processing of material requests.
• Attend daily briefings and planning meetings to report material status and collaborate with maintenance and supply‑chain teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in material support, supply chain, or logistics within an aviation or engineering environment.
• Familiarity with EASA Part 145 regulations.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to prioritise competing demands.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach in a fast‑paced operational setting.
