Material Team Leader – Aviation Manufacturing

About the role

The Material Team Leader will support and develop the company’s provisioning and procurement strategy, delivering best‑practice material solutions for aircraft wing production at Prestwick.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the management of the Material / Commodity Bill of Materials.
• Manage the impact of changes to stock, work‑in‑progress, BOM, commodity lead times and updates to customer and build schedules, and support transfer packages and programmes.
• Facilitate the provisioning team’s daily collaboration with procurement buyers, providing accurate quantities, schedules and cost implications.
• Ensure all provisioning activity follows the approved budget and financial processes.
• Manage backlog orders and production shortages to protect aircraft build programmes.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Broad business knowledge with understanding of cross‑functional constraints and impacts.
• Qualification and experience in project management.
• Knowledge of Airbus and Boeing procurement enablement processes.
