Mathematics Teacher – Full‑time Temporary

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Mathematics Teacher for an Ofsted Good secondary school in Redbridge, East London. The role primarily covers Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 teaching, with occasional support for the sixth form. It is a full‑time temporary position running for two academic terms until July 2027, with the possibility of extension or a permanent offer based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Prepare teaching resources and adapt materials to meet diverse needs.
• Participate in staff CPD sessions throughout the year.
• Attend parent evenings and contribute to departmental meetings.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and complete required training.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum UK experience teaching mathematics at secondary level.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS with online update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
