Mathematics Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

Reed Education is supporting a reputable secondary school in Wakefield to recruit a Mathematics Teacher for the September 2026 start. You will deliver engaging lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, helping pupils build confidence in numeracy, problem‑solving and mathematical reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as maths clubs and enrichment programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the UK secondary Mathematics curriculum.
• Ability to design lesson plans and assessments.
• Proficiency in using classroom technology for teaching.
