Maths Lecturer – Flexible Bank Role

About the role

The Supply Register is seeking qualified Maths Lecturers to work on a flexible bank basis for NCG South London Colleges, delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths across Southwark College, Lewisham College and the HE Centre at Harbour Exchange, Canary Wharf.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths lessons.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging sessions tailored to curriculum needs.
• Support learners in achieving academic and personal goals.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create an inclusive learning environment for students of varying abilities.

Required profile

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
• Relevant degree or strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
• Experience teaching Maths in Further Education, Higher Education or schools.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexible, reliable and professional approach.
• Desirable: experience with Functional Skills Maths, FE sector experience, enhanced DBS.
