Maths Lecturer – Functional Skills & GCSE

About the role

Reed is seeking a Maths Lecturer to deliver Functional Skills and GCSE Mathematics to learners across West London. This temporary position offers flexible full‑time or part‑time hours and includes holiday pay.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Functional Skills and GCSE maths lessons.
• Assess learner progress, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Manage classroom behaviour and support a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to develop curriculum and share best practices.
• Comply with assessment standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
• Assessors’ qualification (A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA) – or willingness to obtain.
• Level 3 Maths qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with 16‑19‑year‑olds in an education or apprenticeship setting.
• Level 2 English and Maths.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
