Maths Lecturer – Greater Manchester (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a Maths Lecturer to deliver engaging and inclusive mathematics lessons across a range of programmes in Greater Manchester. You will help learners develop strong mathematical knowledge, problem‑solving abilities and confidence to achieve their qualifications and progress to further study or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver dynamic Maths lectures.
• Teach GCSE Maths, Functional Skills and/or A‑Level Maths according to experience and curriculum needs.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop schemes of work and resources aligned with awarding‑body specifications.
• Monitor attendance, achievement and learner wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive and motivating learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching, learning and assessment.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Experience teaching Mathematics in Further Education, Secondary Education or Adult Learning (desirable).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine passion for helping learners succeed.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
