Maths Lecturer – Temporary Teaching Role

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Maths Lecturer to join a well‑established further education provider on a temporary basis. The role offers immediate start dates and flexible assignments, allowing you to deliver high‑quality mathematics instruction to learners pursuing GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons across multiple levels.
• Teach GCSE and Functional Skills Maths programmes.
• Assess, monitor and record learner progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and tailored support to individual students.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college policies.
• Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment.
• Support learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) – desirable.
• Experience teaching Maths in further education, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
