Maths & Science Teacher (KS3‑4) – Full‑time Fixed‑term

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with an ambitious secondary school in Hemel Hempstead to hire a dedicated Maths & Science Teacher on a one‑year fixed‑term contract starting September 2026. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Maths and Science lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes.
• Contribute to departmental development and wider school life.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching Mathematics and Science in a secondary school.
• Confidence teaching both subjects up to GCSE level.
• Excellent classroom management and a commitment to raising attainment.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
