Maths & Science Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑time, 1‑year fixed term)

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Hemel Hempstead to recruit a dedicated Maths & Science Teacher for a full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term contract starting September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential in both subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated Maths and Science lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.
• Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes.
• Contribute to departmental development and wider school activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching Mathematics and Science in a secondary school setting.
• Confidence delivering both subjects up to GCSE level.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to raising attainment and inspiring students.
