Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant (Full‑time Temp‑perm)

About the role

A supportive secondary school in North Manchester is looking for a full‑time Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant to start in September 2026. The position begins as a temporary role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils in Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Assist teachers in delivering inclusive, high‑quality maths instruction.
• Support the learning needs of SEND and SEMH students.
• Maintain a calm, positive classroom environment.

Required profile

• A‑Level Maths (or equivalent) with grades A*‑C, or a recent maths graduate.
• Experience working with young people, preferably in a UK school setting.
• Current safeguarding training (or willingness to complete online training).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional child‑related references.
