About the role
A supportive secondary school in North Manchester is looking for a full‑time Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant to start in September 2026. The position begins as a temporary role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to pupils in Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive, high‑quality maths instruction.
- Support the learning needs of SEND and SEMH students.
- Maintain a calm, positive classroom environment.
Required profile
- A‑Level Maths (or equivalent) with grades A*‑C, or a recent maths graduate.
- Experience working with young people, preferably in a UK school setting.
- Current safeguarding training (or willingness to complete online training).
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional child‑related references.
Required skills

- Full‑time hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
- Daily rate of £115‑£135.
