Maths Teacher – Full-Time (Sept–Dec 2026) in Durham

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a well‑regarded secondary school in Durham for a full‑time Maths Teacher. The role runs from September 2026 until Christmas 2026, delivering high‑quality mathematics education across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a supportive and ambitious environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Assess, monitor and support student progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive and productive learning environment.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent subject knowledge and passion for mathematics.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
