About the role

A secondary school in Lewisham is looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a supportive department. You will deliver high‑quality mathematics lessons, contribute to a positive learning environment, and help pupils achieve strong outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Teach allocated Maths classes across ability ranges
Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons
Set, mark and provide feedback on homework regularly
Track, assess and report on pupil progress
Support behaviour and attendance standards
Contribute to curriculum planning and schemes of work
Attend staff meetings, parents' evenings and other school events
Support pupils with additional needs and act as a Form Tutor
Participate in enrichment and extra‑curricular activities
Follow directions from the Headteacher and school policies

Required profile

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Ability to teach effectively across a range of abilities
Commitment to high standards and pupil progress
Good classroom management skills
Team player with strong communication abilities
