Maths Teacher – Full‑time position in Basingstoke

About the role
Quantum Scholars are partnering with a well‑regarded secondary school in Basingstoke to recruit a qualified Maths Teacher on a full‑time, permanent basis from September 2026. The role involves teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils, delivering engaging lessons and contributing to a supportive department.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality mathematics lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with the national curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and high expectations for behaviour.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leaders on student success.
- Participate in departmental planning and wider school improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching mathematics at secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for mathematics education.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to raising student achievement.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
