Maths Teacher

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a qualified Maths Teacher for a vibrant secondary school in South East London. The successful candidate will join a supportive, inclusive environment and teach Mathematics to Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for suitably qualified applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum.
• Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback and support pupils of varying abilities.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Contribute to departmental planning and whole‑school initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £63,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time permanent contract with a standard 8:00 am‑4:00 pm schedule, Monday‑Friday.
