Maths Teacher – KS3 & GCSE (Early Career Teachers Welcome)

About the role

Cover People is recruiting a Maths Teacher for a supportive secondary school in Manchester. The position runs the full academic year from September 2026 to July 2027, covering Key Stage 3 and GCSE mathematics. Both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum for KS3 and GCSE.
• Monitor, assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Support the academic and personal development of all students.
• Contribute to department planning and wider school initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Mathematics.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Passion for mathematics and raising student attainment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
