About the role

A thriving secondary school in Newcastle is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious team. The role offers a full‑time, contractor arrangement with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons that build confidence and problem‑solving skills.
• Support learners of all abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes.
• Maintain a positive, purposeful classroom environment.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and contribute to wider school activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification for secondary mathematics.
• Ability to work with students across a range of abilities and backgrounds.
• Commitment to high expectations, strong pastoral support, and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the UK secondary maths curriculum (KS3, KS4).
