About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Hillingdon, West London, starting September 2026. The position offers a supportive environment with strong leadership and a focus on student achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (KS5 optional).
• Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the Maths department and wider school team.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Commitment to raising student attainment.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two recent professional references.

Required skills

• Curriculum planning for KS3/KS4 maths.
• Lesson delivery and assessment techniques.
• Use of educational resources and technology in the classroom.
