Maths Teacher – Secondary Schools (KS3 & KS4) – Burnley

About the role

Veritas Education is partnering with several secondary schools in Burnley to recruit passionate Maths Teachers for September start dates. The positions are temporary, covering both short‑term cover and longer‑term placements across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
• Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with the national curriculum.
• Manage classroom behaviour according to school policies.
• Support learners of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexible, proactive and professional approach.
