Maths Tutor – 1:1 Support for Young Learners (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Maths Tutor to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for young people in Salford who are outside mainstream education or face barriers such as attendance issues, anxiety, ASD, ADHD or other additional learning needs. The role is part‑time and temporary, offering flexible daytime sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 maths lessons tailored to each learner’s abilities and needs.
• Adapt teaching methods to support pupils with SEN, SEMH, anxiety, ASD or ADHD.
• Build positive relationships to boost confidence and re‑engage learners with education.
• Collaborate with local authorities, schools and families to ensure consistent support.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience in tutoring or teaching.
• Experience teaching or tutoring maths (or other subjects) to children or young people.
• Demonstrated experience working with learners who have SEN or additional needs.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach with flexible daytime availability.
