About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering business in Appleby‑in‑Westmorland. You will work on bespoke machinery, automation and robotic systems, taking concepts through to commissioning and seeing your designs realised on the shop floor.
Key responsibilities
- Design bespoke machinery, robotic systems, tooling and mechanical equipment.
- Take ownership of design packages from concept through manufacture, assembly and testing.
- Support manufacturing, commissioning and testing by resolving technical design issues.
Required profile
- Previous experience in mechanical design.
- Strong 3D CAD experience.
- Motivation for training and career development.
