Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development and qualification of high‑performance subsea electrical and optical connector systems for harsh offshore environments. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, cost‑effective solutions from concept through to manufacture, installation and operation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop subsea connector systems using CAD and FEA tools.
• Conduct testing, validation and qualification activities.
• Produce technical documentation and lead design reviews.
• Support qualification testing and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure engineering excellence.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with subsea or high‑reliability mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of sealing technologies, pressure‑rated equipment and materials selection.
• Familiarity with subsea production systems, connectors and relevant industry standards (API, ISO, ASME, IEC, IEEE).
