Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join Europe’s largest woodchipper manufacturer. You will be part of a dynamic team that drives innovation in arboriculture, helping to expand both new and existing product ranges.

Key responsibilities

• Design machines from concept through to production, independently or within a team.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
• Perform design validation and verification through simulations and analysis.
• Support manufacturing teams with design‑related issues and continuous improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Design Engineer.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
• Experience in design validation and verification processes.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
