About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the MEICA Design team, delivering mechanical solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure across multiple UK locations.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and network assets.
- Prepare and agree mechanical design requirements with clients, ensuring compliance with UK water industry standards, British Standards and CDM 2015.
- Conduct feasibility studies, outline designs and detailed design, supporting constructability and cost estimation.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical and process engineers, manage suppliers and oversee site visits, surveys and HAZOP/HAZCOM reviews.
Required profile
- Chartered Engineer status and membership of IET or IMechE.
- Extensive experience in water, wastewater or process industries, including hydraulic design and pumping systems.
- Strong knowledge of SHE requirements and ability to work under pressure.
- Eligibility to pass BPSS security checks.
