Mechanical Engineer - Pressure Equipment Inspector

About the role

Bureau Veritas is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for its pressure equipment inspection business in Buckinghamshire, based in Luton. The role is field-based, with daily travel to client sites, and aims to minimise travel by offering localised geographical areas. You will inspect pressure equipment against current regulatory and statutory requirements, act as an advisor to high-profile clients and deliver inspection reports using Bureau Veritas's on-site reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality inspections of pressure equipment to ensure compliance with current regulatory and statutory requirements
• Operate within agreed authorities, inspection and H&S standards with a clear customer focus
• Produce and deliver inspection reports using Bureau Veritas's on-site reporting tools so clients can access them immediately
• Keep up to date with changes in relevant standards and legislation and advise clients

Required profile

• HNC, HND or equivalent mechanical engineering qualification
• Three to five years' relevant industry experience working with pressure vessels, steam pressure equipment, piping, air receivers and heat exchangers
• Current driving licence
