About the role
Our client, a leading temporary power solutions provider, is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to support the new Southeast Depot. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a rental fleet of diesel generators, ensuring reliable power supply for customers.
Key responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance and routine servicing of diesel generators.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on rental generators to achieve rapid resolution.
- Conduct site surveys to assess service needs and maintenance requirements.
- Participate in an on‑call rota to provide support outside normal working hours.
- Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety policy and keep workspaces and vehicles clean and orderly.
Required profile
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting or Plant Maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC) or an approved apprenticeship.
- Strong fault‑finding abilities and clear communication skills.
- Prior field service experience is advantageous.
- Full, clean driving licence.
