Mechanical Fitter – Hydraulic Equipment – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team in Cullompton. The role is hands‑on, workshop‑based and offers stable hours with regular overtime, allowing you to focus on repairing and refurbishing hydraulic equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and refurbish hydraulic cylinders and related components.
• Dismantle equipment for inspection and assess parts for repair or replacement.
• Rebuild hydraulic and mechanical assemblies.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Test completed equipment before dispatch.
• Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance or repair (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Hydraulic Fitter, Plant Fitter, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Industrial Maintenance Engineer).
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding ability and practical problem‑solving skills.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous hydraulic experience is advantageous but not essential.
