Mechanical Inspector

About the role

The Mechanical Inspector will carry out inspection activities across the product lifecycle, from incoming goods to first‑off and first‑article inspections. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain, the role ensures components and assemblies meet engineering drawings, customer requirements and company quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in‑process and final inspections of machined, fabricated, moulded and purchased components.
• Conduct dimensional, visual and functional inspections using conventional tools and advanced metrology equipment, including CMM programming and operation.
• Produce FAIR documentation, inspection records, control plans and quality reports.
• Support supplier quality activities such as first‑shipment verification and issue investigations.
• Raise non‑conformances, assist root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records in the ERP system and ensure proper handling of measuring equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, with solid GD&T knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work across departments.
