Mechanical Installations Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Installations Engineer to join a specialist company delivering mechanical process solutions across commercial and industrial sites. The successful candidate will work on‑site installing, commissioning and maintaining chemical dosing and water‑treatment systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain chemical dosing systems.
• Carry out mechanical assembly, pipework installation (PVC, stainless steel, mild steel) and pump fitting.
• Perform site surveys, system checks and planned preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults while ensuring safe system operation.
• Work independently and as part of a small technical team, attending customer sites across the region.
• Complete installation records, service reports and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Background in mechanical installation/maintenance (water treatment, dosing, pumps or process systems preferred).
• Strong hands‑on mechanical skills – pipe fitting, pump installation, pipe bending, system assembly.
• Ability to read technical drawings and site plans.
• Understanding of safe working practices, especially when handling chemicals and fluid systems.
• Full UK driving licence; CSCS card or similar safety qualification is desirable.
