Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Night Shift (4 on/4 off)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our night‑shift team on a 4‑on/4‑off roster (6:30 pm‑6:30 am). You will work in a busy manufacturing environment supporting a range of production machinery, with opportunities to develop both mechanical and electrical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions on specialist equipment.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks.
• Fabricate, weld and fit components as required.
• Support project work and contribute to continuous improvement of plant reliability.

Required profile

• Mechanically‑oriented engineer with experience in a manufacturing or factory setting.
• Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification.
• Commitment to health and safety best practice.
• Physically fit and able to adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of belts, chains, gears, pumps, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Fabrication and welding abilities.

What we offer

• Salary £55,000‑£58,000 per year.
• Overtime paid at 1.5× and 2.0× rates.
