Mechanical Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Manager to join a well‑established and growing manufacturing business based in Stanford‑le‑Hope. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Manager looking to join a stable company offering a Monday‑to‑Friday days‑based role, excellent training opportunities, and long‑term career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Respond to mechanical breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Diagnose and repair faults on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors and associated equipment.
• Assist with machinery installations and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Required profile

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
• Strong fault‑finding and mechanical maintenance skills.
• Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, production or processing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
