Mechanical Project Manager – Building, Construction & M&E

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical building services projects across a diverse estates portfolio in West London. The role is hybrid and runs for an initial six‑month period, offering a day rate of £500.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects end‑to‑end, covering HVAC, plant, pipework and water systems.
• Oversee contractors, consultants and internal project teams.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor budgets, programmes and overall project performance.
• Liaise with estates, facilities management and client stakeholders.
• Support commissioning, handover and operational integration.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering mechanical projects in construction or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of building services systems such as HVAC, BMS and plant.
• Experience working in live environments like commercial, healthcare or education sites.
• Good understanding of H&S and CDM regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
