Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading M&E contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead HVAC projects across London and the surrounding region. You will report to the London Contracts Director and be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mechanical HVAC installations on high‑profile construction projects, covering heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning and related works.
• Collaborate with directors, senior management, engineers and subcontractors to coordinate workflow and resolve technical issues.
• Plan and schedule project activities, including material procurement, resource allocation and progress tracking.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, resources and timelines.
• Lead and motivate project teams of engineers, technicians and subcontractors.
• Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring clear communication of requirements and progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in the HVAC sector.
• Strong focus on health and safety and quality standards.
• Ability to manage projects across London and Reading, with occasional regional cover.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
