Mechanical Supervisor – Light Industrial Project

About the role

Fusion People are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead a light‑industrial installation project in Bristol. The role involves overseeing mechanical works across four floors, including the installation of air‑source heat pumps and multiple fan coil units.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of ASHP systems and approximately 30 fan coil units per floor.
• Manage mechanical pipework, rainwater, and screwed‑steel installations.
• Coordinate a multi‑discipline team to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, including SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
• Report progress to the project manager and address any on‑site issues promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on commercial or industrial pipework projects.
• Ability to work on multi‑storey sites and manage complex mechanical installations.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of ASHP and fan coil system installation.

What we offer

• Rate of £300‑£325 per day (negotiable) with a PAYE option of £225 per day.
• 7‑8 month fixed‑term contract starting Monday 3 August.
