Mechanical Test Technician

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Mechanical Test Technician to join our global engineering and manufacturing business in Bridgwater. You will work in a laboratory environment, building and running mechanical product tests to ensure the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, build and execute mechanical product tests.
• Assemble test rigs, pipework and associated testing equipment.
• Inspect, measure and analyse test samples and results.
• Monitor tests, identify issues and suggest improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the test laboratory.

Required profile

• Practical engineering or mechanical background.
• Strong hands‑on skills with excellent attention to detail.
• IT literate and confident using Microsoft Office.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Apprenticeship or engineering experience is desirable.
