Media Coordinator – Part‑time (12‑month contract)

About the role

Praxis Community Projects is seeking a Media Coordinator to lead its press and media activities. This part‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term role will shape how the charity is seen in the public sphere and ensure that its stories are powerful, ethical and impactful.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors and producers.
• Secure high‑profile media opportunities that raise Praxis’s profile.
• Craft compelling press releases, opinion pieces and media briefings.
• Support and prepare spokespeople, including individuals with lived migration experience, for media engagements.
• Collaborate ethically with experts by experience to share their stories safely and respectfully.
• Work closely with the Head of Advocacy, CEO and the Campaigns & Communications team to develop a high‑impact media strategy.

Required profile

• Confident communicator with a strong instinct for a story.
• Comfortable navigating a fast‑paced media landscape and willing to work flexibly.
• Interest in political analysis combined with creativity.
• Ambitious yet sensitive, especially when working with vulnerable individuals.
