Media Lecturer – Teach Media Production & Digital Content

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Media Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of further education providers in North London. You will inspire learners pursuing careers in creative and media industries, helping them develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Media lessons.
• Teach Media programmes to learners of varying levels and abilities.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support learners in developing practical and theoretical media skills.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Media, Media Production, Journalism, Film Studies, Digital Media, Creative Media, Communications or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Media in FE, HE, secondary or adult learning environments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for media and creative education.
• Industry experience in media production, journalism, broadcasting, digital content creation or marketing is desirable.
