Media Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Media Teacher to join a secondary school in Hertfordshire on a full‑time, long‑term basis. You will inspire students to explore media production, theory and analysis across film, television and digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Media lessons that combine practical and theoretical elements.
• Guide students in developing their own media projects and foster creative thinking.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to integrate media across the curriculum.
• Support and lead extracurricular activities related to media and digital creation.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) certification.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification; NQTs are welcome.
• Passion for media education and strong classroom management skills.
