Medical Administrator – Immediate Start (Temp)

About the role
This temporary position supports a busy medical practice in central Canterbury. The role starts immediately and lasts for three months, providing essential administrative assistance during a period of increased workload.
Key responsibilities
- Answer client enquiries via email and phone in a professional manner.
- Welcome patients, ensuring a first‑class reception experience.
- Upload referrals and manage records within the patient management system.
- Coordinate appointments between clients and clinicians.
- Compile reports and correspondence, meeting all deadlines.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and maintain accurate filing.
- Enter data accurately into Excel and other administrative tools.
- Respond to administrative queries from colleagues and managers.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a customer‑focused administrative role.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, KPI‑driven environment.
- Preferably background in medical or patient‑facing settings.
- Quick learner of new software systems.
