About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary within Women and Children Services at Ayrshire Central Hospital. The role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Community Paediatric Team, Child Protection Team and health professionals working at Rainbow House.
Key responsibilities
- Organise day‑to‑day secretarial and administration services for the Community Paediatric Service within Rainbow House.
- Provide admin support to all professionals at Rainbow House, including the Child Protection team, to maintain high standards of service for patients and staff.
Required profile
- Highly motivated, efficient and positive team member able to work independently.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
Required skills
- Relevant secretarial qualification (e.g., AMSPAR).
- Accurate audio and copy typing skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office software.
- Familiarity with medical records procedures and Patient Management System (PMS) / Trakcare.
