Meeting and Events Executive

About the role

As a Meeting and Events Executive at Hotel du Vin Avon Gorge, you will be the first point of contact for guests planning meetings, weddings and other events. You will help create memorable experiences by managing every detail from small gatherings to large celebrations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the local market.
• Support the Sales and Events Manager in converting enquiries into confirmed bookings.
• Coordinate all aspects of events, ensuring flawless execution for groups ranging from six guests to 200‑person weddings.
• Maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with clients, internal teams and suppliers.
• Promote the hotel’s brand and services to prospective clients.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar hospitality or events role is desirable.
• Friendly, engaging personality with a professional smile.
• Detail‑oriented people‑person with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ambition to progress towards a Sales/Events Manager position.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with the Opera property management system.
