Membership Services Advisor

About the role

We are looking for a confident, friendly communicator to join a growing mutual society’s Membership Services team. The role involves assisting existing and prospective members and financial advisers by phone and email, providing information about products and ensuring a high‑quality, FCA‑compliant service.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to member and adviser enquiries via telephone and email, providing clear information about products and services.
• Track applications, keep members and advisers updated, and maintain accurate records in internal systems.
• Provide administrative support to the Intermediary Sales Team and deliver an information‑only service to prospective members.
• Handle sensitive or difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.

Required profile

• Friendly, confident telephone manner with the ability to build rapport across a wide range of people.
• Strong written communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive conversations.
• Minimum GCSE grade C/4 in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Required skills

• Proficiency in using email and telephone communication tools.
• Ability to maintain accurate data entry in internal systems.

What we offer

• Salary £24,500–£25,500 per year, dependent on experience.
• Annual bonus of 10% of salary, 10% non‑contributory employer pension, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
