Mental Health Mentor – Aspiring Psychologist (Slough)

About the role

We are looking for a graduate or aspiring psychologist to join a dedicated mental‑health school in Slough. As a Mental Health Mentor you will support students throughout the school day, helping them process emotions, develop healthy coping strategies and meet daily classroom needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and group emotional support to students during lessons.
• Facilitate a specialised therapeutic programme, receiving full training.
• Collaborate with experienced staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Assist students with adverse childhood experiences in managing stress and anxiety.
• Document observations and report progress to senior staff.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or final‑year student in psychology or a related field.
• Passion for child mental‑health and education.
• Ability to work empathetically with children who have experienced trauma.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Available to start as soon as possible on a full‑time basis.
