About the role
Join Response as a Mental Health Support Worker in Oxford, helping individuals with serious mental health challenges build confidence, develop life skills, and move toward greater independence. You will work across varied shifts, supporting residents in daily living, wellbeing, and personal goal achievement.
Key responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living tasks, wellbeing, and independence.
- Build trusting relationships and encourage personal goal setting.
- Facilitate access to education, employment, and community opportunities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and support networks.
- Promote mental and physical wellbeing and maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
- Apply therapeutic approaches such as Talk Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma‑Informed Care.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting people and mental health.
- Empathetic, positive, non‑judgemental and a strong communicator.
- Team‑player committed to making a difference in the community.
- No prior mental health experience required; training will be provided.

- £27,051.44 – £28,900 per year (full‑time, 37 hours/week).
