Mental Health Support Worker – Swindon (Full/Part Time)

About the role
Join a specialist school in Swindon as a Mental Health Support Worker, providing hands‑on assistance to children with social, emotional and mental health needs, autism, ADHD and other additional learning requirements. This role is ideal for psychology graduates or anyone with experience in SEN, care or youth work who wants to develop practical skills in a supportive educational environment.
Key responsibilities
- Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Support personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
- Build positive relationships with staff and pupils.
- Encourage emotional regulation, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for children with mental health needs.
Required profile
- Compassionate, patient and proactive attitude.
- Genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- Psychology graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Relevant experience in SEN, care, youth work or similar support roles is welcome.
Required skills
What we offer
- Daily rate of £85‑£110, depending on experience.
- PAYE weekly payment.
- Full‑time and part‑time contracts starting September 2026.
