MEP Commercial Manager

About the role

Skanska UK is seeking an experienced MEP Commercial Manager to lead the financial and contractual aspects of MEP projects across data centre fit‑outs, commercial, education and defence sectors. Based at the Building Services office in London, you will work closely with project teams to ensure profitable delivery and compliance with Skanska’s governance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage contract scope, notices, terms and conditions.
• Prepare procurement documents, quantify scopes, select tender methods and negotiate subcontract packages.
• Oversee financial performance of MEP packages ranging from £10‑50 million.
• Ensure obligations of the project and stakeholders are fulfilled.
• Engage with health, safety, wellbeing and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver quality, efficient solutions.
• Comply with Skanska governance procedures and authority levels.

Required profile

• Proven experience commercially managing large MEP projects.
• Previous experience at SQS level handling multiple subcontract packages of £10‑50 million+.
• Strong knowledge of contract and commercial law.
• Familiarity with NEC and Design‑and‑Build contract forms.
• Relevant CSCS Card and SMSTS certification.
• Degree or equivalent in a commercial‑related discipline.
